Thomas Eugene Balding

October 16, 1953 - January 6, 2020

Thomas Balding, 66, passed away on Monday evening January 06, 2020 in Indianapolis. Thomas was born on October 16, 1953 to Robert and Mildred (McHargue) Balding in Plymouth, IN. Thomas worked as a Security Officer and was a Reserve Police Officer as well. He was also a truck driver of Bendix in South Bend. An excited and avid Cubs fan, Thomas enjoyed watching them play. He also found joy in the Chicago Bears, and watching the beloved Notre Dame sports. Although he appreciated all things Nascar, Dale Earnhardt and Jr. were his favorite drivers. Always one to enjoy a good joke, he also appreciated making others laugh. He leaves his beloved family behind, his sons, Robert (Christina) Balding of Mishawaka, IN and Matthew (Kristine) Balding with granddaughters Reina and Riana of South Bend, IN; his mother Mildred Balding of Plymouth; Siblings, Sue (Rick) Guffey of Bourbon, Pam (Barry) Lagenour of Angleton, TX, and Marge Ellen Burkholder of Plymouth.
Thomas was preceded in death by his father Robert Balding and his brothers Bill and Mark Balding.
He will be laid to rest at a later date, the family is planning a gathering in remembrance of Tom at Grace Outreach Fellowship 18575 State Rd 331 Tippecanoe IN 46570 on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 1:30 p.m.
