Thomas R. McKee, 71, passed away surrounded in the love of his children on Saturday January 2, 2021 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Plymouth.

Lifetime Marshall County resident, Tom was born in Plymouth, Indiana on April 7, 1949 to Forest and Mary (Millea) McKee. He graduated from Plymouth High School with the class of 1967.

He was an over-the-road cross-country truck driver for many years. He most recently drove for Diggers Specialty before his retirement in 2012.

Tom loved trains and collecting train models, as well as car and truck toy models. He was a proud member of the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum. Tom was the person you always wanted on your team for Trivial Pursuit, as he was well knowledgeable in various history topics. He enjoyed his car rides and had a sweet tooth for Vanilla Wafers and baked treats. He was a jokester.

Tom is survived by his children: Patrick (Jennifer) McKee of Knox, Matthew McKee of Knox, Janette (Marcus) Walter of LaPaz, Ann (John) Crouse of Powell, OH, Laurine (David) Ringer of Plymouth and Jesse (Teddie) McKee of Plymouth; 13 grandchildren; and siblings: Margaret (Gary) Flagg of Plymouth, Janet (Geoff) Lawson of Austin, TX, and Patty McKee of Plymouth as well as many nieces and nephews.

Due to current restrictions, family services will be held on Friday January 8, 2021 at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth.

Burial will be in the New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth, at a later date.
