Thomas R. McKee, 71, passed away surrounded in the love of his children on Saturday January 2, 2021 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Plymouth.

Lifetime Marshall County resident, Tom was born in Plymouth, Indiana on April 7, 1949 to Forest and Mary (Millea) McKee. He graduated from Plymouth High School with the class of 1967.

Tom is survived by his children: Patrick (Jennifer) McKee of Knox, Matthew McKee of Knox, Janette (Marcus) Walter of LaPaz, Ann (John) Crouse of Powell, OH, Laurine (David) Ringer of Plymouth and Jesse (Teddie) McKee of Plymouth; 13 grandchildren; and siblings: Margaret (Gary) Flagg of Plymouth, Janet (Geoff) Lawson of Austin, TX, and Patty McKee of Plymouth as well as many nieces and nephews.

Due to current restrictions, family services will be held on Friday January 8, 2021 at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth.

Tom and I were good friends many years ago. We had lost touch but the adventures and crazy things that we did dwell in my memory to this day. Tom was a very good person with many talents. He had great artistic ability. I remember this from his drawings and projects from high school art class. He was a hard worker on a digging crew at NIPSCO for a time. Tom was at my wedding and I was at his. Tom always had great cars. One was a full size Oldsmobile sport edition with bucket seats and floor shift, etc. Great cruising car. Later a Mustang. Although we lost touch, these and many other memories will sustain us.

I am so saddened to hear about Tom. I always enjoyed him and his teasing. I would bribe him with soda and treats if he would come to activities. I have not been able to go inside Miller’s since Vivid started. He loved to go on outings…..especially the dining out ones. He loved his steak.
He will be missed so much. Sending prayers and hugs for his family. 💓💓
I worked at Miller’s in the Activities Department. I retired a year ago but was still volunteering until March.
