Violet M. Bella

May 9, 1922 - March 29, 2013

Violet Mae Bella, 90, of Berkley St., Plymouth, passed away March 29, 2013.
She was born in Walkerton, Indiana to Seymour and Ellen (Frette) Stull on May 9, 1922 and lived in the Plymouth/South Bend area most of her life. Violet graduated from Tyner High School with the class of 1939 and was employed by South Bend Supply Company as an Expeditor and retired after 30 years of service.
She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Plymouth and former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in South Bend. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Lakeview Post 161, for 50 years, and Post 303 for 40 years. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels for five years and prepared income taxes for AARP for five years.
Joseph Bella (deceased) was her former husband and father of her two surviving children; son, John A. (Mary Beth) Bella of Elkhart, Indiana and daughter, Margaret A. “Peggy” (Robert) East of Kenosha, Wisconsin. Numerous loving grand, great and great-great grandchildren also survive.
Four sisters survive as well. They are; Vera L. (Richard) Ullery of Walkerton, Ella M. (Earl) Smith, Plymouth, Gloria D. Plath of Tustin, California and Margaret A. McGrogan, San Diego, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Wesley Hogan, one sister, Delores Jean Call, and a grandson, Glenn R. East.
Family Services will be held and burial will take place in the Tyner Cemetery.
Memorial contributions to Violet’s memory may be made to St. Michael Church, 614 N. Walnut Street, Plymouth, IN 46563.

    many years a s co-worker at South Bend Supply .
    A few years ago we lost contact and I have thought of her several times. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
