
Former River Park resident, Virginia L. Wallace, 92, of Plymouth, passed away at 1:36 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2011, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth.
Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on January 1, 1919, Virginia was the foster daughter of David A. and Goldie G. (Personette) Stayton. On January 1, 1944, in Argos, Indiana, Virginia and Morris J. Wallace were married.
A homemaker, Virginia enjoyed travelling throughout the United States and Canada.
A longtime member of the Argos Bible Church, she was a gardener of both flowers and vegetables and as an avid reader she studied her Bible daily.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, a foster sister; Mary McGriff of Argos and several nieces and nephews.
Virginia was preceded in death by a sister; Joan Long and a foster brother; Vernon Stayton.
Visitation will be held from 2 – 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2011 in the Argos Bible Church 225 S. Michigan Street where services will be conducted at 5 p.m. The Rev. Philip Platz will officiate.
Graveside services will then be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
