Weston Elliot James Schofield-Gayheart

May 27, 2021 — June 1, 2025

LaPorte

Weston Elliot James Schofield-Gayheart passed away unexpectedly on June 1, 2025. Born on May 27, 2021 in Plymouth, Weston was the son of Miranda Gayheart and Ryan Schofield.

Weston was silly and fun-loving. His big goofy grin lit up the room when he was around others. Weston loved dancing and always wanted to be the center of attention with his tongue sticking out.

Social at heart, Weston looked forward to attending Little Learners Pre-School in LaPorte and playing at the Lil Porte Play Place. He was excited to put on his backpack to go to school to learn and see his friends. Weston’s family faithfully attended the Heartland Church in Plymouth.

Weston’s favorite thing to do was be outside, playing in the dirt which he followed up with his second favorite: bathtime. He loved his brothers, Gabriel and Tatum; and especially his “twin” older brother, Oliver. Weston liked watching Sesame Street and Bluey and anxiously awaited going on walks through the park in his stroller.

Weston will be dearly remembered for the big impact he made on others throughout his life. The memory of his positive personality and energetic nature will serve as a light for his family as they grieve his loss.

Weston will be deeply missed by his mother, Miranda Gayheart and Mitchell Briggs; father, Ryan Schofield and Destini Garrison; siblings, Oliver, Gabriel, Tatum, Thomas, Logan, Ryan, and Donald; grandparents, Lisa and Tom Scott, Russell Gayheart, Ernie Keane, Donald Schofield, and Melody Schofield; great-grandparents, Anna and Floyd Allen; Aunt Brandy Gayheart, Aunt Amber, and Uncle Adam; cousins, Daniel Decker and Misty Humes; great-aunts, Jill Scott, Robin and Gary Clemons, Shawn and Rachael Scott, Crystal and Harris Pouge, and Dwayne and Leann Scott.

He is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Ellen and Earl Scott, Leonard Messer, and Betty Gayheart; and grandmother, Sharon Stacy.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025 from 11AM -1PM at the Heartland Church in Plymouth, 705 E. Jefferson Street, Plymouth, IN 46563. Funeral Services will immediately follow at 1PM with Pastor Chris Miller officiating.

Weston will be laid to rest at Oakhill Cemetery in Plymouth.
