William C. Niswonger

William Niswonger, 77, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully Monday, August 29, 2016 in his residence.

He was born November 16, 1938 in Mishawaka, Indiana, to the late Ray and Violet (Goucher) Niswonger. Bill married Marilyn A. (Sandera) Siebenmark on October 24, 1984 in Louisville, Kentucky; and she survives. He enlisted in the United States Army in March of 1956 and was honorably discharged in December of 1957. Bill had worked for twenty-five years for Monaco RV, LLC in Wakarusa, Indiana. Bill was a life member of The American Legion in Bourbon and the VFW in Rochester. He was a past governor and also received his fellowship coat from the Moose Lodge in Plymouth. Surviving is his wife; Marilyn Niswonger of Plymouth, three daughters; Tammy Bernth of Millcreek, Indiana, Valerie Dunlap of Enid, Oklahoma, Terri Frick of Fontana, California, step-daughter; Rhonda Siebenmark of Three Oaks, Michigan, thirteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers; Keith (Mary) Niswonger, Ken Niswonger, John (Nancy) Niswonger, all of Spring Hill, Florida, and one sister; Wanda Nichols of South Bend. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Robert and Raymond J. Niswonger, and three sisters; Carol Hibbard, Lena Weldon and Mary K. Niswonger.

A memorial service for Bill will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 17, 2016 in the Plymouth Moose Lodge, 1225 West Jefferson Street, Plymouth, Indiana 46563, with Rev. Charles Krieg officiating. Also Military Honors will be provided by members of the American Legion Post 27, Veterans of Foreign Wars- Marshall County Post 1162 and D.A.V. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, beginning at 10:00 AM until time of service at the Moose Lodge.
